Questions I am asking - How do you...

I'm just posing some questions about how to best do certain tasks when running Windows.

    What's the best way to manage and share links to websites?
    Use favorites - and synchronize thru a website or shared folder?
    Use a folder - and again share or synchronize it?
    How to Manage Passwords?
    Backup - What's the best solutionDrive Imaging - The following three seem to be the most popular solutions
    PowerQuest - Drive Image software
    Acronis - True Image
    Symantec - Norton Ghost

To manage passwords I use Password Safe(6+ years). Originally written by Bruce Schneier; also using his Blowfish cipher for database protection. About 3 years ago Schneier released the code. It is now being actively developed at SourceForge
It is small and easily transported on a floppy disc(if any exist on these new machines) ~375Kb / 100Kb UPX'd.

When a password looks like this:
who wants to remember it anyway ;~)

There are also UNIX programs which can read the encrypted database files.

And I use Acronis True Image for backing up my data too. It's better than norton ghost for images, in my opinion. It's quicker, the compression ratios seem better (smaller backups), the feature set is richer and the interface is more intuitive for most users.
I really LOVE it.
